Syvio 200A - will mvpmcx2 work with this unit?

Hi

I just saw an offer in Sweden about a mediaplayer Syvio 200A. It is about half the price of a NMT-A110 and I need another extender to place in the bedroom. But a must have is GB-PVR on it as I currently have in the livingroom.

I would like to know if you know (or at least can make an educated guess) if mvpmcx2 would work on this unit?

It's difficult to make recommendations on products I haven't test but I am comfortable that mvpmcx2 will run on any true NMT. It is much lower risk than waiting for an A200. Personally I think GBPVR users should probably grab up the bargains on NMT's while they can.

What I would consider from an unknown vendor

- When was the last firmware update. Some vendors didn't get the last firmware update and although it wasn't significant to me or to mvpmcx2, you might want the partiall sub/idx features in the last update.

- Did they release firmware with DTS downmix? Not all vendors got this. It might not be important to you, but it makes the device more an A100 than an A110.

I fully understand you cannot guarantee anything, that was why I asked for the educated guess
I have also understood that the best bet for GB-PVR users have is to grab a cheap(-ish) NMT now if we want an extender in the near future.

Last Firmware update on this product was released on the 10th of december so should be last update.

But it does not support DTS downmix as I understand it. I do not know what that feature does. Do the lack of DTS downmix mean I have to have a soundsystem that can decode DTS to be able to hear any sound if the only sound in the video is DTS?
