I was using Windows Media Center (Windows 7) with my Hauppauge PVR2-USB, but I want to switch to GBPVR 1.4.7 for the following reasons: the GBPVR image quality is much better, I can get all the available channels and the recordings take up half as much space as WMC.

However the volume is way too low. To have an adequate volume, I have to raise the main volume of the computer, and then everything else is too loud.

Is there a way to fix that?

When you're playing a video, have you tried pressing the right arrow?

Yeah, when I press it, the bar is already all the way to the right (maximum volume). So, no improvement.

Sounds like the volume is already as high as GB-PVR can set it.

You probably need to turn up the Windows volume in the system tray. Windows 7 remembers it on a per-application basis.

The volume in the system tray is already at the same level as GB-PVR's. If I turn up GB-PVR's volume in the system tray, it automatically raises the system volume as well. So this doesn't help.

Have you tried a different audio decoder?

Is it the standard for GB-PVR to function at a lower volume than other applications? Or is it anything I am doing wrong?
I mean, the volume is way lower than the system volume and everything else (YouTube videos, live streams, songs, etc)
