Autosearch/Record on specific days?

Any chance of having Autosearch/ AutoRecord do so on specific days only (or even one step better and NOT days)?

I am still around.....just focusing on other aspects of EWA.

When you say on specific days (or not specific days)......do you mean for the autorecord process itself to run or not run on those days.....or to include/exclude matching programmes that occur on those days?

The latter, to include/exclude matching programmes that occur on those days. There isa Date and Time Range, but not a specific day(s) search.
While I was thinking of this, a boolean or at least an "Exclude selected words or Phrases" would also be quite useful.

Hi UJB, was thinking about my other recent search issue, and the reason I used times was because the show was different times on different days.

1. If NEWA could have a selectable M/T/W/T/F/S/S day of week type filter, I wouldn't need to use the time.
2. The exclude filter above would also still be great. i.e. "Exclude selected words or Phrases" would also be quite useful.

yea...I haven't forgotten about this one.....one the big issue is days (Monday, Tuesday, etc). Everything is in a date format.....so the search would have to do a search for all other criteria and get a result set.....then go through that set removing any results where the day for the date (meaning for each record found get the Day of the week for the date and compare it to the day filter)......It will work but I am not sure how fast it may be....if you do a search for A-Team on Tuesdays the search result set would be all A-Team matches, then have to spin through every result to extract the day of the week from the date (but converting it to local time first since all dates are UTC in the DB) and then either include or exclude the result based on the type of day mask.

Still haven't given up though....it appears that Sqlite allows the querying of a date by day of week...and converting the time to localtime all on the query....so it may be doable after all.
