I've found that some people shy away from 'free' software (but have no problems stealing retail software) as they think it's limited or missing something. However, I've never used 'free' software where you weren't able to send in a donation. There's lots of very good 'free' stuff out there where the creators would gladly accept your thanks. Besides GBPVR, ImgBurn is another one that comes to mind. How these folks are able to spend their time and put out such a great program for free is amazing!

It's also amazing how many votes Plex has. When I think of an HTPC, a Mac is the last thing that comes to mind.
