The recent messages about mp3's in the " Best client / media extender" thread under hardware got me thinking about this again & I can't come up with an answer unfortunately.

We have had messages about NMT's going slow in the past & we have sorted a few problems out for users, but I am thinking for every message posted there are others with the same symptoms that never post.

Recently I noticed I was having problems with my A-100 not performing correctly & as I had also been having problems with my HDD's in the server I put it down to a server problem but after having to do something on the MVP I thought s@#$ the MVP is working better than the NMT (which I know from the past it doesn't) so I went hunting for problems with the NMT to find somehow a staple had been pushed through the network cable running to it (I blame the dog). A new network cable run under the floor this time & it is back up & running rocket speed in comparison to how it was running, it must have deteriorated over a period of time as I hadn't really noticed how bad it was. This is just an example of something not working right & I am sure there are other things that can cause them not to preform correctly.
