I didn't update GBPVR for a while (I was back in 2313 version) and I found out about and installed the new version today.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
My MOST MAJOR PROBLEM, button switching delay is gone! It's not even 1-2 seconds (it was 9 in my case!Wink, it's instant!

...it remains to be seen if I have the old functionality (this is one of my questions) though. (see #6 below)

So here are the things I (already) need some help:

1) Can someone remind me the registry entry (or was it a config.xml entry?) so that I can switch channels by pressing the number and NOT press enter after that? Sub did tell me the trick (I hope it still works in this version), but I cannot find it in the forum. You see I uninstalled first and then reinstalled.

2) Teletext doesn't seem to work with overlay. Correct? Or is it just me?

3) Teletext doesn't show Greek. [Image: sad.gif] Well I wouldn't expect it to (initialy) but is there something that can be done with GBPVR to fix it or not? (of course any help I can give, I will give)

4) I notice that some times there is a standard interval "pause" when in live tv... meaning that I have a half-a-sec stop every two seconds (for example)... sometimes it's there, sometimes not... is it anything I can/should do with buffer settings? I think I haven't noticed it in overlay (but I cannot be sure since I intalled this version a few hours ago).

5) I STILL GET MANY LOG FILES... (logging level is "debug" in xml - I haven't touched it) - see the attachment what I have just now AFTER I deleted all logs and restarted the program just once!

6) With this version I still have pause TV like before? I press "pause" on my remote it goes to a black screen saying "wait starting timeshifting mode" or something and then pops up an "error: failure playing back file"... what is wrong?

6b) And if I (manage to) go to timeshift mode, I will have the huge delay between channels again? (just wondering)

7) I certainly hope some keyboard assignment control will come some time for this wonderful program. I don't need a nice GUI, I would edit the xml or cfg if needed. I just would LOVE to have control over what key does what.

Thanks in advance.

1) <ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey> setting in config.xml

2) correct. It doesnt work with Overlay.

3) I dont know if it'll show greek, but I didnt write the teletext components so its not something in my control. I just use the standard Microsoft WST Decoder which is responsible for generating the teletext.

5) You logs look normal. For each type of log file, it'll have a maximum of four files. The current log, and three back ups. The third backup is deleted each time a new logs is created. Just ignore them. If you want smaller log files, you can set the debug level to error.

6 and 6b) Some people get this. I dont know why.

Many people can use timeshift mode live tv just fine. As I said, its just some people have problem switching channels in timeshift mode. On my machine it takes about 2 seconds, so I can quite happily use either timeshift mode or live preview mode.
