Hi, saw an article suggesting ways to silence World Cup vuvuzelas. (There's also talk of the BBC putting in a noise filter...)

Has anyone thought about activating a filter like this? I guess it's not a GBPVR thing but more related to the audio filters used...

I will try a Winamp filter tomorrow in ffdshow http://www.vuvuzela-filter.de/vuvuzela-filter.htm However I really need a Shakira "Waka Waka" filter more.

Hi Martin, tried the winamp idea after your suggestion.... pretty cool Smile Taking an audio feed from the TV into the PC produced a result, but with a one second delay... probably not bad while watching the game because you aren't watching people talking, and doesn't matter if the odd noise from the pitch is a bit laggy. (I.e you wouldn't want commentary staff to appear on screen though.)

So the next challenge would be to take gbpvr audio and route via winamp before going to speaker. Audio devices have multiple channels but I don't know if you can get access to them at this sort of level and/or if you can control them individually like this. (Simply patching line-out to line-in seemed to create an echo effect - I'd hear both the original audio and the winamp processed audio... not sure what I could do about that - can't mute the line-out!)

Any ideas welcome, but this all really an experiment to see if it's possible and pretty academic Smile
