I'm able to use 1 keyboard and mouse to share the monitors of 2 systems by using Synergy. Works great, is free and I get rid of a keyboard and mouse for one system. Simple as moving the mouse from one to other.
But, I want to check into using the 2 monitors together with both systems. I think I need a KVM switch to do this but I'm curious if anyone is doing this and if so, what's the best way.
Ideas anyone?

Doesn't Synergy work with multiple monitors?

Quote:Synergy also understands multiple screens attached to the same computer.

Yes, I mentioned I'm using that now but I'd like to be able to move images etc. from one monitor to the next. Can't do that with Synergy, it just shares a keyboard and monitor. Or at least that's what I'm seeing it do.

OK, I must have just misunderstood what you were trying to accomplish...

Sounds like you would need a KVM, but if you have multiple monitors with DVI or HDMI connections, you are looking into the $300 range to get that capability. At least that is what I have seen at Newegg.
