I tried NPVR and it looks great! Channel changing is very slow, like over a minute. The video and sound stops, then I hear the sound of the new channel and them a minute or so later I the new video starts. Sometimes the sound and video are not in sync and sometimes the video seems to catch up. I am using an analog tuners, Saber DA-1N1-E (ViXS PureTV). Any suggestions?

Do you have access to digital signals too? If so, does ATSC or QAM behave the same?

I have that exact tuner and my channel changes are nowhere near that slow with it. Mine channel changes happen within seconds (and I mean like 2 not 5-10). As for the sound sync issue, try disabling the AAC decoders in setup.

Sub,
I had disabled the ATSC/QAM because I had not been successfull using that with GBPVR 1.47 and I do not get many QAM channels anyway. I have Charter Cable. I will give that another try with NPVR!.

Whurlston,
The tuners I purchased were advertised as ASUS Combo 210-E and I used the drivers from the Vista View website. I wonder if we are using the same drivers? It would be great if you could send me a screen shot of your configuration (devices and decodeders). I must have something configured wrong!

I'm using the inbox Windows 7 drivers. I'll post some screenshots later but I'm basically using Cyberlink video decoders and ffdshow with bitstreaming enabled. AAC decoder is disabled. For devices, I just imported my xmltv file to the analog device.

I have not had a chance to hook up a new calbe and try the ATSC/QAM side, but I will.

I attached my settings for devices and decoders.

Do you think I need to use different video decoders or I need to switch from Windows XP to Windows 7?
