no metadata for new recordings?

I sometimes need to look at my recordings via Videos instead. I notice that all new recordings created with NPVR display no metadata, but all those created with GB-PVR do have it.

Is this intentional, a bug, or just not implemented yet?

Even though you watched these recording in the Video library, do they exist in your Recordings screen? If so, it should have found the metadata in the database.

yes, they show up in Recordings fine, with descriptions and all. I thought Videos didn't look at the database?

Isn't the recording service also supposed to write the metadata into the recorded file? GB-PVR did, someone even wrote a utility awhile back that would scan all the recording files in a directory and build a new recordings-dump.xml, with titles and descriptions extracted from the metadata, for cases where someone lost or overwrote their GB-PVR drive and had no other way to rebuild their database.

NPVR hasnt been doing this, but I've added it for the next build.
