I have a Hauppauge 2250 card that can control 2 IR blasters.

I was previously using it to control a set top box and it worked OK. I used {channel} for command line parameters in CONFIG.

Today, I added a second IR blaster cable to the card interface. In Blastcfg.exe it sees the second blaster cable.

My question is: What command line parameters do I enter in CONFIG to indicate that to change the channel for an analog tuner PVRX2 should use the second IR blast port on the 2250 card?

I'm pretty sure the Hauppauge BlastCFG app and its blaster API only support single blaster.

So, what blaster software do you recommend?

BlasCFG did recognize the two blasters attached to the 2250.

I dont think both can be configured to be usable though. I think you're configuring the single blaster to use either port1 or port2.

The hardware is definitely capable of using either, but I think blastcfg and api only allow for one to be configured for use.

I'm going to see what I can find out from Hauppauge support.

Ok, but either way, the HaupBlast.exe utility (which I wrote) is only capable of using a single configured blaster.

I know Hauppauge is the process of revamping their IR functionality, and multiple blasters will be possible after that, but I think it'll be a while before that new functionality is ready.

I didn't make it clear before but I was having CONFIG use BLAST.EXE; not HaupBlast.exe.

I am anxious to find what Hauppauge comes back with.

When I've looked at IR Server Suite and other programs, I found them overly confusing to try to use. That's why I was hoping that just passing another parameter to Blast.exe would do the trick.

If its an MCE style blaster, then you might be able to do two blasters. I'm not that familar with these. I havnt used blasters in years, and when I did, I used the retail style Hauppauge blasters.
