Control STB with WinLirc

I'm trying to setup a serial IR blaster to control my STB. I found an How-To at this page:

1st step (WinLirc) works fine!
But it seems that Irex17.zip is not available anymore (web site down or something).

Is there any other way to control my STB with a serial IR blaster??

I took the liberty of adding to the wiki I don't think Sub would mind a 27.6k upload

Where did you find it, I looked on the web no joy, from your vast software archive

yea, i had used it back when i made one of those adapters several years ago...['06]
it actually works quite well and is really simple...

Thanks for locating the IREx program, I was looking for that as well.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get winLirc or IREx to calibrate properly. I really just want to use the hauppauge remote I have with GBPVR. Does anyone have a device profile for use within GBPVR for a simple serial IR Blaster?
