After creating PriorityRecordings.xml and running PriorityRecording.exe i'm getting this:

GBPVR External Recording Manager - v0.1.0 Beta

Scheduling Recordings.

Done.

There seems to be a lot of programs to schedule - but nothing gets done. And you can't see the program name?. It kills me because it really would make a great add on to gbpvr.

One thing I don't understand - if you have made scheduling and edit the xml-file to exclude a recording - will it remove the former recording or do you have to do "Empty EPG"?

Jrock correct me if I'm wrong, but it won't remove a recording that it no longer knows about. The reason is so that it can handle recordings that were scheduled by the GBPVR scheduler or where scheduled manually (i.e. one time recordings).

Jrock should have a new version of the scheduler out in a few days that will handle the international dates and a few other issues. Is there anything in the priorityrecordings.exe.log file?

It also looks like you are scheduling by doing Keyword searches for your recordings? Am I correct on this. Can you post your PriorityRecordings.xml file, so we can see it. The reason the program name isn't showing up is because the CDK Scheduler gets this from the ProgramName element which isn't used when using Keyword searches.

KingArgyle you are correct. I will make the necessary edit to show the keyword searches in the log.

If you would like to see more or different functionality, please let me know.

Also, this is a work in progress. I know KingArgyle used the scheduler in particular manner and it works perfectly. Same for me. However, since there are lots of parameters I'd imagine there could be lots of issues. I would say if you post (or e-mail me jrockintuitive@yahoo.com) your log and priority recording file that will help to debug any issues that you might have.

Ok - thanks. I'll mail you xml and log.

Is there any way to clear all recording from outside gbpvr config or gbpvr/recordings. Maybe a sep. exe? I would make it easier to test cdk scheduler.

Where will the new version be posted?

Latest CDKScheduler

mcr, all recroding information is stored in this file"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.mdb."

If you copy this file to another location, then run the CDKscheduler-- look at the results, report on bugs -- you can restore to your previous recrording state (before running the CDKscheduler) by coping the gbpvr.mdb back its origional location.
--Make sure you are not recording a show when you do this. You will loose that show.

Here are the steps.
1. Copy C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.mdb to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr.mdb
2. Run the CDKScheduler
3. Report any bugs to me, if there are no bugs then you are done
4. If bugs, copy C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr.mdb to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.mdb - GBPVR will be put back to the state before running the CDKscheduler

If you have any questions let me know.

Got the latest version, and used this xml-file

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<GBPVR d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Programmer\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd"
xmlns:d1p1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

 <Configuration>
   <MissingRecordingPriority>0</MissingRecordingPriority>
   <Conflicts>Keep</Conflicts>
   <DuplicatesAllowed>No</DuplicatesAllowed>
 </Configuration>

 <Recording type="All" priority="1">
   <Search>
     <Title>
       <TextSearch>Chopper</TextSearch>
     </Title>
   </Search>
   <RecordingType>All Episodes</RecordingType>
   <Quality>Medium</Quality>
   <CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource>
   <Duplicates>
     <Recorded>No</Recorded>
     <Scheduled>No</Scheduled>
   </Duplicates>
 </Recording>

 <Recording type="All" priority="1">
   <Search>
     <Title>
       <TextSearch>letterman</TextSearch>
     </Title>
   </Search>
   <RecordingType>All Episodes</RecordingType>
   <Quality>Medium</Quality>
   <CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource>
   <Duplicates>
     <Recorded>No</Recorded>
     <Scheduled>No</Scheduled>
   </Duplicates>
 </Recording>

</GBPVR>

The result of execute exe was:

 has 7 potential recording(s).
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
Not a Duplicate
 has 2 potential recording(s).
Amerikansk Chopper is being recorded from 26-02-2005 21:00:00 to 26-02-2005 22:00:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 25-02-2005 01:50:00 to 25-02-2005 02:40:00 on capture source 1

It seems to work (two shows are being added for pending recording) but I don't understand the output:

If David Letterman results in 7 potential recordings - why is only one being scheduled?
If American Chooper result in 2 potential recordings - why is only one being scheduled?

It could have something to do with

<Configuration>
   <MissingRecordingPriority>0</MissingRecordingPriority>
   <Conflicts>Keep</Conflicts>
   <DuplicatesAllowed>No</DuplicatesAllowed>
 </Configuration>

but changing Conflicts og DuplicatesAllowed is not changing anything. Don't understand these properties btw

On the wiki site I have updated the scheduler.

It should be more descriptive.

My best guess that items did not record because they are dups? Not sure.

I would be carefull using:
<Duplicates>
<Recorded>No</Recorded>
<Scheduled>No</Scheduled>
</Duplicates>

RecordingType is useless - I have made it optionaly.
the type attribute in the Recording element is also usless.

I would also ignore DuplicatesAllowed.

Hopefully in the next few days FastFind and Guid2J will come out with new interfaces that will make it easier to create the priority file.

I would appreciate if you run you priority file again with the new code.

Some shows are not descriptive enough.

Amerikansk Chopper is being recorded from 27-02-2005 20:00:00 to 27-02-2005 21:00:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 25-02-2005 16:05:00 to 25-02-2005 16:55:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 26-02-2005 03:10:00 to 26-02-2005 03:55:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 28-02-2005 10:15:00 to 28-02-2005 11:05:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 28-02-2005 16:05:00 to 28-02-2005 16:55:00 on capture source 1
David Letterman is being recorded from 01-03-2005 00:50:00 to 01-03-2005 01:35:00 on capture source 1

on this XML

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<GBPVR d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Programmer\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd" xmlns:d1p1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

<Configuration>
<MissingRecordingPriority>0</MissingRecordingPriority>

<DuplicatesAllowed>No</DuplicatesAllowed>
</Configuration>

<Recording type="All" priority="1">
<Search>
<Title>
<TextSearch>Chopper</TextSearch>
</Title>

<TextSearch>letterman</TextSearch>
</Title>
</Search>
<RecordingType>All Episodes</RecordingType>
<Quality>Medium</Quality>
<CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource>
</Recording>

</GBPVR>

I can't delete RecordingType or the type-property - app fails.

BTW this (from help examples)
<Recording type="Season" priority="1">
<Channel>4</Channel>
<ProgramName>The West Wing</ProgramName>
<RecordingType>All Episodes</RecordingType>
<Quality>Medium</Quality>
<CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource>
<Duplicates>
<Recorded>No</Recorded>
<Scheduled>No</Scheduled>
</Duplicates>
<LimitDays>
<DaysOfWeek>Saturday</DaysOfWeek>
<DaysOfWeek>Sunday</DaysOfWeek>
</LimitDays>
<ScheduleTime>
<Start date="2005-04-04" time="2000"></Start>
<End date="2005-04-06" time="2359"></End>
</ScheduleTime>
<Padding>
<PrePadding>1</PrePadding>
<PostPadding>4</PostPadding>
</Padding>
</Recording>

is not working - LimitDays is not a valid name??
