I am having problems with one channel here in Sweden (Axess TV) that does not give me any audio. It is MPEG-4 video, HE-AAC audio, SD resolution.

The thing is that HE-AAC works in all other channels with HE-AAC, just not in this one.
I am beginning to think it is demuxed wrongly, but that is just a theory.

I have tried Monogram, Arcsoft and Divx AAC decoders and no difference.

Sub, if you PM me I will provide you with an FTP login where you can get a small sample (just 7 MB).

There is no audio packets in that file, which is why you hear nothing.

Ok, then the question is why? In both live and recorded mode NPVR shows the audio stream to be HE-AAC, and I am quite sure there is nothing wrong with the transmission. This problem has been from start. I even tried to delete the channel and then scan for it again if there was some changes to the transmission, but that made no difference.

All other HE-AAC channels with mpeg-4 works...

You could try creating a c:\temp directory, set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\npvr\LogTSWriter=1 (DWORD), then reproduce the problem then zip and attach the c:\temp\writer-x.txt file

Now, this is really strange. I have put in hours to try fix the audio problem to no avail, and today when I should apply the registry setting etc above - it suddenly worked! I did do a reboot. Maybe that somehow fixed something? Maybe I had had not restarted the NPVR service after I rescanned the Axess TV channel? Anyway. It works now and I have no idea how to reproduce the original error. So, I guess we have to leave it as is...

Thanks for your help though Sub!

If you have the time I would appreciate if you could have a look at my other thread about PreferAC3=1. I get serious sync issues with that setting, and I am not alone....
