2.0.3 Multiple recordings

Since upgrading to 2.0.3 I am sometimes getting multiple recordings of the same show.
I have attached my logs, but an example is New Tricks_20110304_20332127. This appeared as two files: New Tricks_20110304_20332127.ts, 2GB, which explorer says is 00:00:00 long, and New Tricks_20110304_20332127-0.ts, 454MB, 00:12:06 long.

I have a postprocessing.bat file, which only appears to have run on the -0 file. Only a single recording appears in the Recordings list. If I play this recording, it only plays the short -0 file.

Its not happening on all recordings, but might (only might) be related to multiple recordings happening simultaneously.

A couple of times when we've looked into this in the past, the user has literally had to season recordings set for the same show. Is that definitely not the case here?

Otherwise, we really need to catch it at scheduling time rather than recording time. ie, if its a particular set of recurring recordings each week, do an 'update epg', which will cause it to delete all the pending season recording episodes and recreate them - we'd be able to tell from the log messages why it is scheduling them

You are correct. There are two entries for New Tricks in the Recurring Recordings list. Not sure how, but I apologise.

I don't think this is just multiple recording I see it all the time when I stop the service. NRecord.log.2 stops without a clean shutdown and then the recordings started again when the service starts in NRecord.log.1 35 minutes later.

If you're stopping an start thing the recording service while it's recording, then I wouldnt be surprised to see multiple recording files end up on disk. Its not a real world situation though, because the user shouldnt be doing this in normal operation.

That entirely normal, and just happened because he restarted the recording server while a recording was in-progress, which results in a new file being created. Thats exactly what I'd expect to happen and not a problem.

His actual problem though, which lead to New Trick recordings showing up twice in his Recording screen was because he had two recurring recordings setup for this show.

Much becomes clear.
It turns out that a) I had two entries and b) the PC crashed!

The previous system shutdown at 9:23:48 PM on ‎4/‎03/‎2011 was unexpected.
