Hi,

Just thought it was worth noting that audio still glitches on Live TV in 2.0.3. Doesn't do this when the same programme is time shifted (i.e. press rewind once).

Thanks Smile

Nothing has really be changed on that front.

You could try disabling any audio formats you dont need. This can help.

what filters are you (also uk) chaps using, i have been using ac3 filter for all audio and the microsoft video decoder for sd and hd on sat and terrestrial for years now (ati for video before win7) and its never given me any bother except when an issue with the on board lan caused some latency...seems to be common on gigabyte m/boards.

I'm using the most recent saf5, with ffdshow for all audio (it's set to decode everything in the setup screen) and either the PDVD10 from saf or MS decoder for H264 (installed the latest SAF5 today and currently have left it with PDVD10 which so far seems to be fine, but until then I was using the MS decoder as PDVD has struggled ever since the BBC went VBR - maybe the latest update will be ok) and the ATI decoder for SD. I was using the MS decoder there too but noticed poor deinterlacing with it - not that I'm 100% convinced that was down to the decoder!

Anyway I get audio stuttering that quick pause/play fixes on some channels still on 2.0.3. Not the likes of BBC1 typically although it sometimes happens. Happens a lot more on Irish DTT channels and "crap" sat channels (like True Movies, that kind of channel).

I'm using AC3Filter for MPEG-1 and AC3, and ffdshow for AAC audio, the rest are disabled. Stuttering happens on all channels on DVB-T and DVB-S, just varies in severity depending on the particular channel change.

SAF5 users - if you record stuttering channel, quit nPVR then open and play your recording in Graphstudio - you still have the problem?

I've been stuggling with stuttering as well. Stops conpletely if you quickly pause/play. Was happening on xp so I even tried a win7 fresh install on another hdd. Bacially I cant move to npvr until I can work this one out.

It happens on DVB-T and analogue channels, codecs dont seem to make much difference. No idea what else to try but it looks like I'm not Robinson Crusoe on this one.

You're not alone. I know sub is aware of the problem, but whether he has had time to look into it I'm not sure. Seems to be exclusive to NPVR in Live TV mode, doesn't affect GBPVR in Live TV, or any recordings / chasing playback.
