Quick question: if I moved my recordings directory from E:\npvr_recordings to F:\npvr_recordings - is there a way I can recover my installation/database to point to the updated drive letter? Currently when I go back into NPVR and try to play a previously recorded program, nothing plays.

(I changed drive letters because of some hard disk reconfigurations. It's the same physical drive that housed the recordings before, it's just assigned a different letter now)

I guess you could edit Recording-backup.xml and substitute E:\ with F:\ in all filenames and then import Recording-backup.xml.

I think that worked... though all the "working" programs are now 6hrs off on time, and I have a bunch of old nonworking dup entries. Oh well...

You can temporarily set <AutoRemoveMissing... in Config.xml to True and enter the Recordings screen, that should remove all recordings that does not really exist from the database. What exactly do you mean by working programs 6hrs off?

The entries that actually play a file when I select them.

Mmmm, have you checked the timezone?

BTW: You probably also have to set <NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing>false</NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing> to get rid of the dup nonworking entries in database.

Timezone setting hasn't changed.

What about the times in your Recording-backup of the sgows you imported, are they correct?

i would check the times in the dump file to the times in the database... if same, then npvr timezone adjustments upon saving dump need looking at..
if just the display times are wrong, but dump file and db are same and ok, then same thing..[bad saved time adjustment]
if db times are diff than dump file, then it's re-applying timezone info a second time, throwing them off..

Sounds correct to me, interested in what you find out. Did you get rid of the dup recordings?
