Comcast has a feature where if the channel has an HD equivalent, you can press a button on a channel and it will take you to the HD equivalent. So on the wishlist is an option to link channels where, if there is an HD option, i can click and watch the broadcast in HD rather than enter the channel number.

Another option is to group channels together. For example, create a 4.1, 4.2, 4.3

Now that 2.0.3. has "Find All" it can quickly take me to the HD equivalent this is only a few keystrokes. I still would like my wish http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...e-priority since this would allow me to merge the channels and you select SD and HD when recording and then you don't even have to worry about two channels in the guide.

When it does happen, feel free to not implement it... in the meantime, a quick refresher on forum etiquette may be in the schedule for you?

And just what are you offended by?

why exactly do you want to view sd versions of broadcasts? just map all channels to the hd channel # and always have hd w/only 1 number in listings..

directv makes me enter a XXX-1 on only 1 channel to get to it's equivalent, normally the stb has a setting to always pick the hd equivalent when entering numbers..

i'd also like to see hd priority but it seems very complicated to implement..

My reason: the majority of broadcasts are still not in HD and I don't want to waste my (priority) HDPVR when an analog tuner will do. My XMLTV file show many variations like

<quality>HD Simulcast</quality>
<quality>HDTV</quality>

and ultimately I'd like this to get involved in the decision but for now I can do it manually on the tuner.

I don't think it is hard logic at all, implementing a tuner class priority rather than the obsolete analog based quality values.
