1. Click on episode title in TV-Guide. 2. Select Recording Type: Record Season (All episodes on this channel). 3. <OK> out. 4. Go to Main Menu/ Recording, scroll to Recurring Recordings and note for example, episode is scheduled for recording at 11:00pm on 12th and perhaps again at 11:00pm on 14th, etc. Whoops...what about the repeat episode broadcast a 5:00am the following mornings? Nope, not present. So, step 5 is to repeat steps 1>4 again, and select the 5:00am morning broadcast (13th + 15th) "all episodes."

6. Now, scroll to Pending Recordings and note that ALL identically titled episode record times and dates are simply duplicates of original 11:00pm record session. 5:00am sessions and dates, although apparent in Recurring Recordings, do not appear in pending, anywhere.

I suspect that this may in part be a conversion discrepancy in the DateTimeGroup routines, but have only glanced at the logs, and have no idea why, if one selects "All episodes," repeat episodes should be ignored.

My expectations are that when one selects "Record Season (all episodes on this channel), regardless of episode time/ date it will be recorded, even if repeat performance.

Hope all this makes sense, but I am really old and tired so, go easy on me...Smile

There are only 3 very small screen caps within the attached "All Episodes.zip" for anyone interested in visual aids.Smile

Attached Logs, db3 and screen caps (All Episodes.zip)....

You forgot the zip.

In the US, depend on the EPG source, you can have unique show identifers available, and the app will use these to determine if it should bother scheduling a recording. ie, if you already have the same episode already recorded, or pending at another time, then it wont bother scheduling what would be a duplicate. If it decides this is the case, then the logs will tell use that it was skipped for this reason.

If you'd prefer the application didnt make these decisions for you, then I could add a config.xml setting which tells it to not do these duplicate checks.

Ok, I'll look at the xml and see if I can figure it out. I really like to catch them all as on occasion, we loose the Terrestial signal, either completely or it becomes seriously corrupt. If I catch them all, I have added insurance.

What is with the Pending Recording issue? I show the 5:00am broadcast correctly in "Recurring Recording", but everything in "Pending" shows only as a duplicate of the earlier 11:00pm entry.

BTW, I did indeed send attachments, but kept getting error messages and requests to login again, and again, and then instructed to use the back button and reload repeatedly. As far as I can tell, I am charged with storage space and the files appear at your end, but I am unable to access them. I sent a message to the Site Administrator (possibly you?). I can send them again, but it doesn't accept the <submit> after I add attachments and I seem to be caught up in a never ending login, type entry, add attachments, and login again, and reload, and login.

If I am doing something wrong here, please let me know...

As an addendum...I am also seeing an issue with NEWA - Manual Recording (Advanced): Make selections, press <Record> and no recordings appear anywhere! Nothing posts to Recurring, Pending or otherwise.

If you can post the logs showing the scheduling, I can confirm if that was the reason or not. Maybe your zip file was too big. Try leaving the db3 file out.

Sorry, I dont use NEWA myself, so I'm not really familiar with it. Its probably best to ask about that issue in the NEWA sub forum so UJB sees it. I'm sure he'll be able to sort it out for you.

That does seem to be the reason.

You can try this patch, and add the following in the <Recording> section of config.xml:

<ScheduleDuplicates>true</ScheduleDuplicates>

Sorry, no joy! Picked up only late evening 11:00pm episodes. Subsequently added 5:00am episodes again via TV-Guide, but still doesn't display record Date/Time group correctly under "pending". Going to get some sleep now and will back at it again in about six hours.

Thank you for being so patient, accessible and responsive to so many here...

I just know sub is going to ask for more logs from after you installed the patch & then tried setting up those recordings again.

Yep! Probably correct. I think his wheels are turning for the moment though...something really strange going on with Pending - Time/Date display function. Half of those entries should read 5:00 - 5:30am instead of 11:00 - 11:30pm.

Anyhow, just in case, I'll add the logs again here and perhaps he will see them when ready. Thanks Jaggy for the prompt...and now, where did I put that cup of coffee I just poured?
