Question

I always disable H264 decoding in ffdshow and ffdshow dxva and set filter merit higher in Cyberlink than arcsoft decoders so that PDVD11 codec is used.
Question - should I be enabling ffdshow subtitle renderer for use in NPVR - always disabled till now

If you dont use FFDshow, you cannot use FFDshow subtitles.

There is already SAF 6.0.6 test build available: Smile

The biggest change is VC-1 i/p DXVA support.

Hi all-

What is considered the most robust video decoder in this bundle, for XP?

I have an intermittent display "issue" with my digital cable feed, the TV picture and audio breaks up once in a while. This breakup appers in recordings also of course. This causes NPVR playback to lose audio, and it never comes back. The same recordings play back fine in VLC.

I'm currently using the Hauppuage decoders for my HVR-1600. How many of the items in Saf6 are happy under XP, and given the issue I mention, is there a recommended video and audio decoder to try?

Thanks!

This is the first time I have also- but I used to use the VMR9, and with my HVR-1600 and NPVR those decodes aren't available for playback.

What are you using for playback, from this bundle? Or did you mean- everything in this bundle has been fine : )

I'll put the bundle in place and try them one by one- if someone has feedback as to which deal with intermittent video glitches best I'll bump that up in the line...

The Hauppauge ones I'm using- when the glitch occurs, the audio fades out over 2 or 3 seconds, and I can't get it back.

Thanks!
