Hey ho, hey ho.

Well I am not expecting much uptake here. And I know there has been much to's and fro's about this.....

I believe UAC has been the greatest problem...?

But is it time?

Can we reach some kind of agreement?

For a basis of a plugin that looks to a repository within the NextPVR UI and downloads and installs Skins/Plugins within that interface?

How hard can it be? Very hard?!

I have asked sub for an answer on this. I got an answer. The answer was no-one wanted it? Is that the case?

Here is the original thread , I am not sure why a new thread was needed. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...in-Manager

A fresh new outlook Martin? Like me you seem to like the old threads Big Grin

Of course I will give up if we have to go back to old threads...

Has anyone even bothered reading a load of my old threads?

Perhaps because of your rather boring "DOS" font, I didn't see anything fresh in the questions your post. I actually don't like resurrecting old threads or going off topic but the "real" thread isn't even stale. I hate the thought that you will keep making new threads until another developer volunteers to do this.

Martin, as usual. I thank you for your input. The 'real thread' that we both refer to, has IMHO gone stale. This one may too. If no developers come forth again, then let it be. But not for a lack of attempted participation on my part Big Grin

I have a screen I created for this in the past, which queried the available plugins and skins available from an xml file on gbpvr.com, but it was only partially implemented when it was shelved.

I may revisit it in the future, but given other other higher priority stuff on my to-do list, I couldnt tell you when that might be.

And if a bunch of us got together? And implemented a plugin along these lines? What would be the chance of you integrating that along the lines of how UJB's plugin for the web service is now part of the core/download?

To be honest, its probably the sort of things I would want to do myself, since it would it would need to be tight closely integrated with the core application, and I'm the only one that would be able to do some of the stuff required like dynamically reloading plugins etc.

No, not at this stage. It'll have to wait until later.
