Should the Recordings screen be reloading recordings every 2 minutes when "idle"?

Tonight I had left npvr on the Recordings (What's New) screen for a couple of hours. When I look in the mvp.log (and mvp.log.1), I noticed that every 2 minutes it is reporting the following:

Is this normal/expected? There were no new recordings anytime during this period. And the client was just sitting there with a blank screen saver displayed.

From memory, yeah it does - to pick up any changed status, or recordings scheduled from other clients, or via the web server.
