Martin,
I need some help getting it setup

So far I have
-added the plugin to the plugin folder
-added the pluginsettings per the wiki- I copy and pasted what you posted directly into my xml. I did not add any options.
-put SageMCTuner in my npvr folder and got the program to load using an elevated command prompt and information from the sage forums.

In NextPVR config/devices screen I now see two network recorders listed.

If I click on one, I get an unhandled exception Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

At this point, I am kind of stuck on what to do next. I am not sure what the error is for, and also don't know what else, (if anything) I need to configure besides channels. It looks like the port configuration matches.

Could you upload your compressed npvr3.db3 file (empty the epg first) and all your logs.

Thanks,

Martin

After looking at you wiki post, I changed to friendly name in cofig to NetworkRecorder 1 and now have 3 networkrecoders listed in devices, one is active, two are not, and none of them are called networkrecorder 1. And they all throw the exception. I only have one recorder configured in the xml

See my previous post. I will have to fix your database and we can start again.

I had the same problem with Network Recorder using the sage firewire tuner. If you have the latest Network Recorder dll, August 29, I think, then start with a clean database (delete or rename the existing one) and then stop the recording service while configuring the tuner. Then, restart the recording service. I think this is what worked for me. (It was a week ago!)

OK, found the instructions from Martin:

stop the recording service
del npvr.db3 to start from scratch again.
start nextpvr and add the device (I think I configured the channels here before continuing)
exit npvr
start the recording service

Yes that is what I want to try but I need to clean up soccerdad's database. Soccerdad if you backed up npvr.db3 first, then you could simply restore it.

Sorry, I walked away and missed your posts before I sent the logs.

What should I do now.

If you backed up the database.
- stop the recording service
- restore the backup

Then follow the instructions in mikeh49's post.

Otherwise I fill fix what you sent me.

OK, I had not backed up the db before messing with this. Since I just set this up yesterday, I did not care about the db, so I erased it, started npvr, and went to devices. The two cablecard tuners were listed, along with one networkrecorder. Double clicking on the network recorder just gives me the same error.
