I can't find a programdata folder. Where should I look?

It seems that the wtv files are just temp files that are there while it transcodes (or converts) the file to .ts. It also seems just to be a live tv buffer when I am not recording.

Babgvant writes there is already an option to not delete the .wtv file. Did your try running SageMCTunerConfig.exe?

In the root, but you might to tell explorer to show hidden/system files.

We got it better!
I did not notice that I needed to change the mux ID in the sagemctunerconfig.exe program. I pasted in 68E7FACB-C317-466D-B8FC-42AE81DE0681 to make it use the softpvr stuff, restarted the service and it works. I get live tv and a ts file that has sound.
It still does not leave any wtv file. And I don't see where to add anything to keep it in config.

From the programdata folder:
I see where it tells it to delete the wtv, but don't know how to tell it not to.

Ok, maybe check the registry "HKLM\SOFTWARE\babgvant\SageMCTuner"' for something like DeleteFile = true

Did you restart the service?

I had restarted the recording service, not the sage service. Duh. Anyway, it now leaves the file. So I guess to get to where we finally need to be, is to get it not to create the .ts file, since I don't need it for flagged programs, correct? And then I would need a way to automagically launch WMC to play the recorded file if it somehow knows that it is a flagged recording. Does that make sense? From what I am finding out, almost all of the channels on my system will be copy-once, so I guess I can just configure the network recorder for all of those, and configure the clear ones directly with native tuning in npvr.

Great work. You have amazing intuition on helping me through this. It is actually pretty quick for live tv, even though it has to start WMC.

I think the next step is to have post processing delete the ts file and use NScriptHelper update the name to wtv

Yes what happens when you launch the wtv file in video library?

Yes exactly, but we need to get sub to map tuners so something shows as a conflict,

Thanks to you too, I am living the DCR experience vicariously through others. SageDCT would be much faster if you'd like an idea of the Ceton box.
