No Playback of recordings

As part of the switchover here in the Uk I have used it as an opportunity to upgrade to NPVR.

Its installed fine, all devices with channels and EPG populates OK.

The problem I have is npvr won't play the .ts streams that it records.
VLC will play them OK so they have data but NPVR doesn't.

NPVR will play my old .dvr-ms streams.

Also live TV is blank (I assume because it can't play the .ts streams).

Any pointers would be appreciated, obviously I'm doing something really stupid

Looks like its a decoders problem.

Can anyone recommend the best decoders and renderers to have loaded and set for the UK (Sutton Coldfield).

I can get video with the Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7), but no sound yet.

Have you set your decoders on the Settings->Decoders screen?

If you've already done that, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the npvr.log and nrecord.log and I'll take a look.

In the UK for SD Freeview you only need set an MPEG1 audio decoder and MPEG2 video decoder the rest you can disable. I use the Cyberlink audio and video decoders which came with my USB DVB-T device. I have always used the "EVR" renderer and the "default" audio.

Ok now got playback (VMR and Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7) and sound although in the log file I get the message

Also if I try and use CTRL F for skip forward then it locks.


Does the same even if I use VMR9 instead of EVR.

Going to download the codec package SAF6 see if that helps.
