First real issue I have had with NPVR. I scheduled 3 recordings back to back on the same station. All 3 have some type of problem.

First show was The Simpsons at Oct 30, 8:00-8:30. This actually recorded in full and I can watch it in NPVR. The only issue is that I can't skip forward or back when watching. The screen just goes blank when I try to skip.

Second recording was Allen Gregory at Oct 30, 8:30-9:00. This gave me a recording that was about 3 minutes long but it was the video of the first 3 minutes of the next show, Family Guy.

The last recording was Family Guy at Oct 30, 9:00-9:30. This gave me an unplayable file (tried VLC and MPC) that was pretty small in size.

Logs have been attached.

This happened again tonight with 2 back to back recordings. Similar problem occurred like last time. The first show recorded in full but was unable to skip forward or backward in NPVR. The second show only recorded a very small unplayable file. This seems to only happen on 1 station, Fox. I have done many back to back recordings on multiple other stations and don't seem to have any issues.

First Show - Nov 1, 9:00-9:30, New Girl
Second Show - Nov 1, 9:30-10:00, Raising Hope

Logs are attached, any ideas?

I checked these logs an it looks like Raising Hope has run for the duration it was supposed to:

Quote:2011-11-01 21:30:00.123 [DEBUG][7] allocating recording target filename: C:\TV Recordings\Raising Hope\Raising Hope_20111101_21312200.ts

2011-11-01 22:02:00.172 [DEBUG][17] Graph stopped (async)
If you're able to find this is reproducible for you with these back to back recordings, I could add some more logging to one of the directshow filters to give us more info on what is happening.

Thanks, will try to reproduce and see if I can narrow it down further. Any thoughts on the skipping issues I'm having as well?

Is it 'The Simpsons_20111030_20002030' as shown in the logs above? Does it happen every time you play this file?

Yes it is that file and it happens every time I try to play that file. I have also noticed this happen on other shows pretty randomly. Sometimes the skip feature will work for a random amount of time and then just stop working. Other times it is like The Simpsons recording where the skip will not work at all.

Does selecting other audio/video decoders help?

What file system is recording drive using? FAT/NTFS?

It's pretty big, a little over 3 GB. I could create a torrent if you want to download from me. A piece from cutchunk wouldn't work?
