Record just "new" episodes?

Sorry, I couldn't tell from the Wiki. Does this allow you to record just new episodes in a series as indicated by the "new" element in the XML? Thanks.

The new element is for XMLTV, there is also the new='true' attribute on the schedule element from SchedulesDirect.

Well, I ended up just installing the plugin to see for myself and unfortunately I don't see any way to schedule to record just new episodes (it seems to use the standard schedule recording popup).

It is Windows MCE data from mc2xml which does supply the "new" element. Are you saying there is a different way to schedule a series recording that can do what I want?

I use mc2xml also. You can use the -a flag that will add a * to all new episode titles e.g. "Fringe *"

NPVR and TV Listings will see this as a different show as opposed to just "Fringe" which would be a repeat. Telling NPVR/TV Listings to record all episodes of "Fringe *" will effectively record all new episodes and no repeats.

This is what I do and it works for me.

Thanks - I will have to look into that. It seems if you use this flag you might have to set up 2 series recordings if you want to record all episodes of a particular show (new and repeats, e.g. one for "Fringe *" and ""Fringe")? Is that the case?

If we have the SchedulesDirect integration into NPVR, is there a way to add the "*" or something similar using TVListings plugin?

I accomplish this by using mc2xml to scrape my SD acct.

mc2xml -T SDuser:SDpass -a -A -d 336 -D shed.dat -C shedchn.chl -o SHED.xml

This gives you the(*) in xml that npvr sees no problem.
