UK 5USA and 5* now FTA

I scanned them fine but they do still have the encryption flag set. I can watch them in npvr, but something isn't happy as using the channel up/down buttons gives me an unhandled exception. Typing the channel number directly shows them fine.

I assume it's not possible to leave the channel called 5* and have a channel logo load?

Leave the channel as 5* and name your logo 5.jpg

works fine, even for 5* +1. Luckily "5" I have called FIVE so they dont clash.

Hi BigMoose

I just cannot find these FTA channels - when I scan 10964H SR 22000 FEC 5/6 all I get is Channel five, and some unknown channels - which are also Channel five (and not the +1 version!). I am using a Nova HD card.
So can I ask if you could please post the actual lines from your scan.cache files? Maybe if I type them in it will work...

The * is ignored. Where did I miss that thread/discussion! I went and renamed all the channel numbers for these 2 as 5 star. Silly me Big Grin

Is there actually anything of interest on either 5 * or 5 USA?

They've been on terrestrial Freeview for some time now and I've yet to find anything worth watching.

No offence to anyone (we all have different tastes), but I always thought that Channel 5 never really contributed anything in the first place and the associated channels have rarely offered anything I wanted to watch.
