Would anyone happen to have a Comclean command line like:

mencoder "%~dpn1.mpg" -edl "%~dpn1.edl" -oac copy -ovc copy -of mpeg -o "%~dpn1_clean.mpg"

But for TS not mpg.
I'd really be happy with some permenantly commercial free recordings (saving 17% of storage space).
I've been banging away at this with little success.

And if you have one that's relatively quick to convert TS to avi that would neat too.
Thanks

for .ts output change it to "-of lavf -lavfopts format=mpegts,o=ignidx" tho i think the ",o=ignidx" part can be omitted..

no that was unsuccessful>generated a jumpy video and sound +21hrs in length and 200mb larger than original with commercials intact.
There is this msg in CMD window:
"MUXER_LAVF
REMEMBER:MEncoder's libavformat muxing is presently broken and can generate INCORRECT files in the presence of B-frames."
Thanks for the effort
Project "ThiS hour has 44 minutes" will continue, this will be resolved.

hmmm, are you trying to convert *to* .ts? or from it to something else?
that same command line will take a .ts as input, just change "%~dpn1.mpg" to "%~f1"
[worked for me here]

probably better off re-encoding to .avi or .mp4 at same time...'copy' can be rather buggy, depending on input/output types..
[that's why timeline is off, re-ordering frames without adjusting timestamps]

.ts output is tricky, and won't have extra info that npvr uses for better skips, so not recommended for transcode output type..

Nope i just want a straight up copy of npvr's output TS file but combined with the EDL. I used to run it in old time GB-pvr(mpeg) but TS is proving to be a hassle.
I can take the TS+EDL and encode to avi but it's low quality and it takes 2-3 times the duration of the original TS file and lots of CPU.
My goal is a 22min file from 30min (no commercials) or 44 from 60.

Could you post the line that worked to avoid confusion on my part?

Rather than cutting commercials, why not buy just buy a bigger drive? There prices will come back down soon enough. 17% of 3TB is about 500MB, and you save to power wasted processing the files.

I'd also like to reduce data charges on my phone via NEWA (-17% of volume)
