Hey,

I notice one of the 1 day deal sites is havign a clearence of meda player / extenders if anyone is in the market.

Boxee Box is $230 (I know Mvelland has said these are quite good)
and they have a core 2 duo machine in an HTPC case (poor video card though) for $400

I've had my BB for about a year now and I don't use it to much as an extender, mainly because of the lack of LiveTV support. It is not bad for online content compared to many, it can even find videos on web page and play them. For some NextPVR users probably the most valuable feature is the support for comskip edl files.

I haven't been impressed with the firmware upgrades, not much progress or the remote. A big concern for me now is the embedded Atom chip it uses is no longer fully supported by Intel so it is an orphan.
