Can this be done via the API, ie, detect that a client is connected?

Not bothered if it can't; just thought a simple statement (eg "2 clients connected") might be nice to see in the System plugin.

You could problem check client ports to see if the are open with IPGlobalProperties.GetActiveTcpConnections Method

For NMT 5916, 5916...
For PC client 7969
For web client 8866

Etc.
