Audio sync issue is back again, kind a funny way.

With earlier versions, I had to transcode .ts files to something else, because playing back .ts recordings lost audio sync after minute or so.

Only way to watch recordings with Npvr, is do some transcoding. If I use PostProcessing.bat to change file format to .avi or .mpeg, audio sync remains ok.

This worked fine, until I made update to 2.3.6. All recordings made after that, audio sync is lost again, even transcoded to .mpg. But funny thing is, now original .ts file playing allmost
well, so audio sync is good enough.

most of sync problems are caused by not setting the audio renderer to "default"
or the audio/video codecs you are using. check the npvr log to see which ones it is using.
or a very low powered pc.

Nope, I don't want to use "default". It's not an option.
Here was no audio sync issue prior ver.2 and previous transcode setup worked fine almost 9 months before 2.3.6. No anything else changed in this end.

Have you tried imiline's plugin ReClockOrNot? And btw; did you get your epg in Finnish with the patch in that thread?

No, have to check out this plugin.
I don't use any xmltv file for epg, just take what coming "from air". I haven't noticed any change related to language preference value. Just now, there is more swedish titles than finnish in epg.
Maybe I didn't saw some thread about this batch, if there was something new for it.

Thinking a bit more about your sync problem, would it be an alternative for you to change the audio settings in Control Panel so that the audio renderer you are using now becomes the default renderer?

Yep - thats what I was thinking too. This way you can stick with the default audio renderer.

you might also want to take a look at this in case the problem *is* because you are not using the default audio renderer. You would have to test this to be sure but it is a common issue although I do not know why

Also the LAV audio decoder in the SAF codec pack has an option to "keep audio in sync" - I have no idea if this could be useful but I thought I would mention it.

Nope again. Video sound should go directly to ATI hdmi driver and to tv, other sounds go to regular speakers. If I use hdmi driver as default, there is no sound, if tv not open. (which is normal situation mostly)

Then you might solve the problem with the reclock plugin. Also you can install the LAV codec without installing the SAF pack.

With regard to the epg problem, a solution could be to use DVBGuide to save the on-air epg to an xmltv file and update from that. That way you should be able to get Finnish as the prefered language.
