HDhomerun channel scan help

I'm in the US and I have an OTA antenna my HDHome run is found and I can run a channel scan, but it will not come up with any channels on the list. How can I remedy this?

The usual cause of this for HDHomeRun users is firewal permissions getting in the way of communication between HDHR and NextPVR.exe (and NDigitalHost.exe).
