As did I, thank you very much. I love the "new" badge in the guide. I think that should be enabled by default in the skin, I really think it is fantastic to see the new programs in the guide with it.

Again, thank you!

I seemed to have missed the "new badge" or am more dense than I thought. I don't see anywhere in the TV listing settings for this. smajor, would you mind helping a brother out in case I entirely missed this?

*lol* no problem. This, and a few other settings are tucked away in the TV Listings.xml file. It's located in your Skin directory in the TV Listings directory. For me on Win 7 that's: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default\TV Listings\TV Listings.xml

Edit that xml file with Notepad. Towards the very top under <!-- named values --> are several options, including that one.

You want to set the value for "ShowFirstRunStatusIcon" to "true"

There are a few other interesting items in that list, I changed another one so that it colors the show name background in the guide "red" for recording like the default guide does rather than just the red recoding icon. Just remember, when TV Listings is updated and that xml is replaced with a newer one, you'd just have to go into the new version and change those settings again.

I'd recommend making a backup of the .xml before changing it so you have a baseline if something goes wrong.

Thanks very much for this. I had completely forgotten about this little jewel and haven't dug around in it for a long while. This works fine too!
Cheers.

I have found that too many shows are flagged as "NEW". Incorrectly so as well. Is there a setting of some type for what constitutes "NEW".

In addition, to me the little "NEW" badge is too big, I would change it to just an "N" or something.

Hi,

for the "new" information, the plugin uses the data npvr provides as is, which defaults to "is new" as long as there's no indication that the show was previously shown before.

I can't use that option, too, since my epg-source doesn't include the required information. See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...t-run-quot for details.

I use MC2XML with the "-a" switch which appends "*" to new shows.
Resulting in "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart*"
It's short and sweet and makes recording only new shows easy.
I found that Shedules Direct often erred in displaying "new".
You can use MC2XML to scrape your SD account(if you have one).
