NPvr gets tv show data (title, show summary, etc...) from the tv listings and saves it in it's own database. When you choose the show in Npvr you can see this info. One of my clients uses xbmc and can't access this info and because of the file naming format can't scrape it either.

Is it possible to have Npvr write this info to a file and save it with the recording so it can be accessed by xbmc?

ImageGrabLite among other utilities run in PostProcessing, can rename the file to a format the XBMC and Plex understand if the EPG data includes correct subtitles. Some EPG data might include the correct season and episode data too, so in theory imageGrabLite can support that too.

There is a registry setting to save the show info in a separate .xml file with the same name as the recorded show itself. I don't know if Martins ImageGrabLite can rename this file also?

Really? Any idea what that registry setting is?

Annoyingly, the registry setting is for a separate Timing.Info the metadata is in config.xml

<StoreSeparateMetadataXml>false</StoreSeparateMetadataXml>

I don't know if any scrapers understand the formal if this xml file.

I found that my 2.4.3 install creates these .xml files after a recording, so rather than changing them to nfo format, write an xbmc metadata agent for them (I've done this with plex).

But you realise you can't use npvr in any commerical setting? the license does not allow for this.

I think when he said client he just meant client device in his house, not a customer.

Ahh coolies. I'm doing similar. But standardising on plex. Have a second apple tv that when plex is on it I hope I'll have all my recordings In there. They go In at the moment and mostly have the metadata agent done to parse the XML files.
