I frequently get no tuner available when record, but watch works fine.

Record works most of the time. The case tonight was recording a digital (QAM) channel but would not record an analog channel, but it would let me watch it. In this case, I rebooted, the in-process recording restarted automatically, but the problem remained.

Possibly related issue: using Hauppage 2250, two analog/digital tuners. When I first installed NPVR this card showed up as 4 devices. Now the digital devices show up twice for a total of 6. When I noticed that, I proceeded to scan the "new" ones as well, since they showed zero channels, but in fact copied the the other device's channels when asked. Normally when I run into something like this I would reinstall, but I'm afraid I'll lose all my channel mappings, which took a long time.

You'd need to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the npvr.log and nrecord.log so I can take a look.

Not sure this is exactly the same as before, but it's similar, for sure. Logs attached.

In what way?

I'm not really used to looking at logs generated by the TV Listings plugin, but it looks like it successfully scheduled a recording. Is this the recording you tried to schedule?

argh..

ok, I posted this already, then decided I was wrong, and deleted my post. but I wasn't wrong...

you seem to have duplicates of each of your digital tuners, but NPVR somehow thinks both sets are present and enabled. this will cause all kinds of weirdness. you need to figure out which version of each tuner is the correct one, and then delete the invalid tuners (right-click, Delete Device).

I didn't keep good notes of what I did. Sorry. All I know now is that the last thing I tried to record would not when it should have, but would let me watch.

I'll try again with default skin and keep better notes!!!

I can guess, I guess. Smile Actually, I'm fairly certain I know which ones are bogus. I'll do what you suggest, then switch to default skin and see if I can get a better log for sub.

One thing that may be related is that I had initially deleted the IPTV device, since I have a slow internet connection and no interest in such content. It has magically returned. I deleted it because I saw no way to disable it at the time -- now I see the check mark inside device setup.

Odd when you say you can watch because the way it looks in the logs is that live tv failed

Code:
2012-05-07 22:11:13.937    [INFO][12]    AnalogRecorder.StartStream(LIVE&C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\live-ABC 28-3897.ts)
...
2012-05-07 22:11:20.242    [ERROR][12]    Device failed to start

Just leave it there. It wont be causing you any problems.

OK, now we have a different situation. I'm not sure if it's even related to the original problem. I disabled the two extra digital tuners (planning to delete in next test, if necessary), and reverted to standard Guide and Recordings, default skin. Box on decoder page about using only for .ts is checked. NPVR 2.4.3 no patches. W7, 32Bit, up to date in every respect.

I started 2 QAM recordings. Tried to start an analog recording -- no good. Tried to watch analog -- no good. Both Analog tuners should have been available.

Off to bed for me. 1am. Sure appreciate all you guys trying to help!!
