I have a folder on the C drive in "Videos" which has shortcuts to folders on another computer - stops delays accessing Videos when the other computer is off - when trying to access these shortcuts NPVR throws an exception (see logs and text) - same thing happens on the shortcut to the Recordings directory.

NPVR 2.5.5 with the skipping patch installed.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

This should fix it.

Patch Installed and no longer throws exception on the shortcuts - but - now for each shortcut there is an entry of @name at the bottom of the list which will throw an exception if you click on it.

Can you post a screenshot, and your npvr.log?

Do you know what those two entries at the end should be? Are they files, or folders?

They appear to be ghosts generated by NPVR - in the folder there are just the two shortcuts, not even any hidden system files.
In another folder there is one shortcut and now there is one @name in NPVR in that folder.
If you click on the @name it throws an exception.
Tried giving the shortcuts a .lnk extension but still the same.

Yes that has fixed it - also tried with shortcut to mkv file on another drive and it displayed metadata and poster (as expected)
After installing this patch I lost Green Button use until I rebooted - now all is good.

Thanks Sub

Also got this error trying to access shared folders from a client - 2nd patch seems to work fine here too.
