I am not sure if this is related to the issue I reported here or not...

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...nel-Change

It would rarely happen with 2.4.3 and now with 2.5.5 it is happening more frequently. Just simply, some recordings freeze frame all the time and jump forward a few seconds on and on. Other recordings are perfectly fine.

Now that I think of it, I cannot recall this happening with 2.3.6 so I might reinstall that version but I would rather figure out what has changed in NPVR that is now causing this to be more frequent.

My logs are attached but I am not sure if they will be of any real help.

If you play the recording in a different player, do you see the same freezing and jumping?

How is you CPU usage during recording or live tv?

What capture device do have? I can see its a member of the 885 family, but some have hardware encoders, some have software encoders.

CPU usage is very low during recording. It ranges from 5-15% depending on what's going on. While watching Live TV, it flutters from 2-7%. I have an AMD Phenom II 6-core CPU.

My capture device is a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800.

Late summer but not really hot. Not like July.

This is analog right?

If it was digital, it'd sounds like your capture device signal isn't great and it's dropping data.

Yes I am analog. DirecTV STB hooked via S-Video and RCA Audio.

I'm not really sure what to suggest. Can you make a short recording available so I can download it and take a look?
