When a new channel comes from the cable company you have to manually scan for it again in the devices setup. Could you make it so that when the new scan is done only the previous channels you had setup are checked off instead of having everything checked off? I have about 90 channels out of 600 setup, it is rather tedious to get out the channel list and re-check only the 90. This way I could just find the new channel in the scan and it would be the only one that had to be checked.

Are you using the current release? It should show two different old channels in grey (with no checkbox) and new channels in black (with checkbox), so should be easy to see new channels.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a question. I have a Ceton quad tuner. When I add new channels, it behaves as sub describes, but only for the first tuner. For tuners 2-4, I have tom manually uncheck a bunch of channels. Am I doing something wrong? Should I delete tuners 2-4 and re-add them in this case?

Can you do a scan on one of these, then post the npvr.log?

Using new release, forgot to update my signature. These are the only windows I see when trying to do a new scan on my DCR-2650. The completed scan windows has the full 700+ channels all checked. Attached log file after I made the scan.

Ah, right. The gray/black feature I mentioned above is for digital BDA devices, not the DCR-2650.

I'll try to add something like it for that device in a future build.

Next time I add channels, I'll get the logs.

I don't scan, I'm using an XML generated from SchedulesDirect via MC2XML. So I edit my list on SchedulesDirect's web site, do an EPGupdate, then add the channels to the devices, do the merge, then another EPG update, then modify any guide groups and the setting for the TVListings plugin. I don't do it all that frequently.

Are you using analog?

No analog. I have a Ceton InfiniTV quad tuner that I access via Network Recorder. I also have three QAM tuners, but the issue I brought up happens when I add channels to the Ceton via the XML from MC2XML which gets data from SchedulesDirect. So, I am not doing a scan.
