Hi, I am happy to post a link to the first public beta of X-NEWA

Feel free to add comments and suggestions and re-read the sticky post for questions, I will try and keep it current until some sort of wiki develops

Thanks to everyone involved in this, analog from MythBox for the original code, Ton for the first GBPVR code this is based on, UJB for the great help adding extra things to NEWA web service to make this work so well, and of course, sub for such a wonderful PVR, a great frontend and backend that keeps getting better.

I have placed an update on the wiki http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...-1.2.0.zip that addresses several issues

- improved utf-8 handling throughout
- better handling of manual records
- added a little more room for the channel name
- search wouldn't always work if the result include a recording.

- Back can be used like Esc
- Recurring recordings didn't display, I missed a utf piece.
- code clean up

If you get tired of updating the Setting with each build you can persist it by saving it to XBMC userdata folder and it will look there first.

I just tried X-NEWA for the first time so it's likely I'm doing something wrong but when I get an "Unable to load NEWA data" error when trying to access X-NEWA in XBMC. The "dashboard" is missing all data and I can't access the guide, however, I can access all the "recordings" screens (I can see the lists and play back recordings fine). I am using NPVR 2.5.9 and OpenElec (the latest release candidate).

It's probably something in the data I didn't parse correctly. Assuming you are using 1.2.1 hit the refresh button and if that doesn't work upload the xbmc.log

I am using 1.2.1 and the refresh button comes up with the same error. Since I'm using OpenElec it seems I will have to figure out how to SSH into that PC to obtain the log which will take me some time.

I use OpenElec (the RC1 right now) on my ION and you have to install SSH when you install it. I don't need the log you can send me the npvr.db3
