If I use the record button or the channel up/down buttons in XBMC during video playback with my HDPVR the XBMC client hangs. For recordings after a retart the file is being created ok, but with channel up/down or from the OSD EPG, after I kill XBMC I also have to reset the HDPVR and restart the recording service.

Reproduce the problem and zip and attach the xbmc.log and web.log/nrecord.log and I'll check it out.

The record button in live tv probably wont work with your HDPVR, unless you happended to have another device with the same channel available. It should handle it gracefully though. This wouldn't be an issue with digital devices though, where it can easily have multiple streams going for the same channel.

I'll try in a couple of days, Because of testing and a lost night with steeb I've fallen behind on a few things I wanted to do.

Edit: My analog tuner does work event for changing channels.

Yesterday I wrote a wrapper to the HDPVR channel changer program to allow for the delay the STB takes to respond, because the program itself returns as soon as the keys are submitted to firewire and almost all of my HDPVR issues are gone, including the channel changing issue. It still hangs and needs to be killed on record, log attached.

I have also attached the logs showing the several minute for the first login and then the faster second run.
