Does NextPVR use the "C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\TempRec\TempSBE2" folder?

Does NextPVR use the "C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\TempRec\TempSBE2" folder?

My HDD disk space is getting eaten up behind the scenes, I found C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\TempRec\TempSBE gets full wih 498.8MB files.

Is this folder anything todo with NextPVR or Haupauge TV cards

"Recorded TV" sounds a bit Windows Media Centre-ish ... are they left-overs from some long forgotten experiment !

I never use WMC. I thought the same, but every time I delete them they come back!

I'd go with Hauppauge as the suspect. How old are they?

and why is this a "sticky"?

I take that back, a google of "TempRec\TempSBE 2" points to WMC

If you don't use WMC disable it in "programs & features" and see if they return.

I guess one of the mods accidentally marked it as sticky. I've unstickied it.

NextPVR or Hauppauge shouldn't be using that directory. It does sound like it'd be WMC.

This is strictly a guess, but doesn't WMC have a (default?) setting to scan for new channels once a day or something like that. Maybe that's what's happening and you just don't know that you're "using" WMC...

If you never use it, just disable it from add/remove programs, add/remove windows features. That kills it big time.

Well, I've disabled WMC in add/remove windows features. Will have to wait and see if those pesky files come back...

Yes it does. There is a registry setting to disable it but I can't remember it offhand.
