yes, anything could be made into a plugin. you'll just have to create a UI for it.
not sure if it would be of much use thou, but if you would find it useful im sure others will too.

I would really like because this is how i get shows off my tivo, it would be nice from the mvp to be able to run a plugin that displays the tivo content and then by pressing a button i can copy it to my computer..

im sure if you search for something over at sourceforge you'll find an ftp program you could easily port over. the hardest part will be the UI.

I think I have some C# code for a ftp tool that I was playing with to transfer shows off other peoples machines. I can send it to you tomorrow if you want it.

Why a plugin? Just install an FTP server... I've been running SlimFTP for a few months now... It's very simple and very light on the CPU and memory resources...
