Support for ini files from Kingofsat/... + missing DVB-S2

Hi,

I was wondering if NextPVR (I'm using v2.5.9) supports the use of transponder ini files from a site like Kingofsat? I tried already using such a ini file, but NextPVR doesn't seem to like the extra parameters (like DVB-S/S2, 8PSK/QPSK...) that are in those ini files. In the NPVR log I see the following message:

"Unexpected error in scanning form: System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format."

A second problem I am having is that NextPVR doesn't seem to find any DVB-S2 channels on my Hauppauge HVR-5500. I think it is related to the problem above as the extra info about the modulation,... isn't known to NextPVR so it can't search those frequencies correctly. I deleted the extra info from Kingofsat's ini files and NextPVR was able to search for channels, except for those that are DVB-S2.

I cant see where to download the ini files from on http://en.kingofsat.net/. Can you post one of these files?

I can try to add support for ignoring their extra too parameters (like ",DVB-S,QPSK", ",S2,QPSK" etc), but in the meantime if you manually delete those does it work?

The HVR-5500 should be able to automatically determine the modulation, pilot, rolloff values.

Yes, deleting the extra parameters works, but only for the DVB-S channels. I've checked a handful of frequencies which are DVB-S2 only, but NPVR never finds any channels on those. That's why I assumed NPVR would actually need the extra parameters. Do you think I should be able to search for those channels, regardless of the extra parameters?

Just to be sure about DVB-S2, I let NPVR check all of the frequencies which are DVB-S2 by using a modified transponder ini (in attachment, it's just a slimmed down version of the one from Kingofsat). There were no channels found on any of the frequencies. I also attached the log file, but I don't think there's much to learn from that.

Can you see if this helps? Use the original unmodified kingofsat file.

The new dll doesn't seem to resolve the problem. The same exception is seen in the log.

Hmm, I'm able to that sample file just fine with the change I made.

I've rebuilt it and reattached though, in case I did something wrong with the release-build patch I attached.
