Disable (not delete) Channels

When I scan my device I get over 500 channels listed.

Let's say I only want 80 of them enabled in the guide.
I'm new, and the only way I know how to accomplish this is to delete the other 420 channels.

Problem is, next week I may want to add to the guide one the channels I deleted.

Is there no way to just disable a channel without deleting it, so I could simply enable it again?

You can just create a channel group called something like 'My Favourite Channels' and drag in all the channels you want. In the TV Guide press Ctrl-G and select 'My Favourite Channels' from the list. The TV Guide will from then on default to showing that channel group.
