Hi

I just installed NextPVR ver. 2.5.9 on my computer (located in Denmark) to receive DVB-T free-to-air channels.

At startup and when changing channel the selected subtitle stream is disabled.

Is there a way to make the Danish subtitle stream default at startup and when changing channels?

I am going crazy always to have to choose the Danish subtitle stream from the menu.... help...

Thanks in advance.

In config.xml change the default subtitle language

<Subtitles>
<PreferredLanguage>dan</PreferredLanguage>
</Subtitles>

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the answer. I have tried your solution, but it still nok working Sad

I have attached my config.sys and a log-file - maybee this can help to solve this?

Perhaps given that file is SD maybe it is teletext which might be handled differently. It also took an awfully long time to start for dvb-t

I am running NextPVR on a old Asrock ION - so I don't think I can do anything about the slow startup :-)

In the right-click menu under "Subtitles Stream" I have two "DVB Subtitles" streams: [dan] and [dan, Hearing impaired]

So I don't think it is a teletext problem.

I am used to seeing the subtitle info in the ts metadata but I don't see metadata in your log. Sub will likely need to provide the answer.

I'v never found a way to have subtitles default on, except for teletext subtitles which I extrach to a .srt file. So I just programmed a button on my remote to turn them on.
