For those of you with Intel Graphics that support Quick Sync who also want to do video transcoding it might be worth checking out babgavant's new utility QSTranscode. http://babgvant.com/files/folders/random...21946.aspx I have an HD4000 (on an i7) and it surprising fast, and I already consider it a must have.

that is nice...i've been using dvdfab for ages to do transcoding from cmdline, but it has issues...[not much control, like can't do interlaced at all]
just about to build a mini-itx i3 system so this will be great..Smile
hope it's as fast as other implementations..[hope ffmpeg isn't a bottleneck, but love it's stability for formats. Big Grin]
i heard there'd been a ffmpeg in the works with qsync support but didn't think it was ready for using yet..

Thanx for the share..Cool

hmmm, not that great...it's not really ffmpeg, but uses the libs of the avcodec fork...deinterlacing doesn't work for h.264 streams for me..[hdpvr encodes]
i had heard that x264 was using some qsync accel that would be used by real ffmpeg, but only partial accel and was still being implemented in x264 so nowhere near ready for ffmpeg yet..
looking forward to that one... may be out somewhere but i haven't looked in a while..
