If your PC is set to sleep or hibernate after a period of time, it should perform those functions just fine without any special settings in NPVR. NPVR will wake the system for future recordings (and then allow Windows to put the system back to sleep or hibernate mode when the recording is complete). If you tell the system to "power off" then Windows has no ability to wake the system once it is in that mode, as the OS is completely unloaded. Only a WOL over the network, a button press, or a "power on" event scheduled in BIOS can wake the system from a full "power off".

Anyway I think that this option would much contributed to the popularity of the program, given that many users have similar problems. I talk from my experience with terratec software (which have an option to hibernate or sleep after recordings) and this great program which have many others good thing but missing this simple task. I use WOL from my work place and if I have enabled WOL, as a result the hibernation won't work.

NextPVR doesn't have anything to do with how you Window PC shuts down. I suggest you review your automatic power mgt. profile and have Windows do it properly.
If you aren't concerned about multiple recordings and want the postprocessing.bat to shutdown you could use something like this start cmd.exe /C [pathto]myshutdown.bat in myshutdown.bat add a few seconds delay so your postprocessing.bat completes and then issue the command to shutdown the way you'd like. Can you explain in details how and what to do with postprocesing syntax?

No sorry, it's an advanced feature and if you can't take it from there, I am not interested. The wiki is a start http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...iles#toc2n
