Hi,

Since upgrading to 2.6.2 my previously quite stable client has been practically unusable for watching recordings. NPVR crashes frequently, often when skipping, but also during normal playback. I've installed all the patches currently listed in the support thread.

I've tried watching an effected recording through 'Videos' and it played fine all the way through. Live TV seems to work much better, although there has been an occasional crash.

The client is W7 64 bit.

Client logs are here:

Any ideas?

You'd need to create a c:\temp directory on the client, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NPVR\LogClientStream=1 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NPVR\LogSlipFile=1, then reproduce the problem and post the matching set of client's npvr.log, c:\temp\reader.log, c:\temp\stream.log and server's nrecord.log.

Hi, I have done as instructed, and the link in the first post should get you the full set of logs.

I had some trouble reproducing the symptoms on demand, so there's a few hours worth of logs there, but there were several crashes.

Sorry, no I haven't looked at this yet. I've been horrendously busy with day job stuff the last couple of weeks.

Sub,

It seems that this may have been an error on my part, it seems the hard drive all the recording were on was having issues, i have since replaced it and things are working again, ill post back if the problem reoccurs.

Thanks
