One show I cannot record!

I'm running latest NPVR on server/client setup, recording from both an HDHomneRun Dual and a HVR-1800 card. All works reasobaly well -except...

last night my wife wanted to recorded some episodes of a show on Bravo - I hesitate to admit - and while I tried to record four different airings of the show, none were ever recorded. While the recordings were in progress, they did show in the recordings display, but would not play back at all. Other shows on the same channel before and after these have recorded fine. I suspect it is because of the show title or naming - in the guide it is titled "Don't Be Tardy .." - other shows with apostrophes in title are handled - it appears the apostrophes are simply removed. In fact, a folder on my recordings drive appears as "Dont Be Tardy" but contains nothing. Might it be those last period characters? Or may it just be the show is so bad my system is offended?

It appears I will need to retry - the NRecord Logs are more recent. I do have a log for NPVR which shows the recording scheduled, and the title does in fact show the trailing dots:

If you get your EPG from an XMLTV file, zip and post it. If you also get an NRecord.log of an attempted recording, all the better.

there is another chance to grab the log in a few hours - each listing in the xml is basically:

The last period in the name seems to be lopped off in the guide listings as well as the recording folder

ZIP the whole logs folder and post then someone can have a look

please zip and post the XMLTV file itself. If this is as it appears, that NPVR doesn't properly deal with a title that has trailing periods, then efforts to fix it can best be developed & tested with the full file.

Can you record it in the default guide? I recall changes related to trailing dots from sub.

sub fixed the problem if the show had three trailing dots ("...") but not two (".."). To my knowledge, two trailing dots was never fixed but I haven't tested it in a while.

Do you still have the nrecord.log showing the attempted recording?
